ภูมิปัญญาไทยเกี่ยวกับการทำนายสุขภาพโดยวิธีการแพทย์แผนไทยสามารถจำแนกโดยธาตุกำเนิดฤดูสมุฏฐาน ๓ ฤดูสมุฏฐาน๖และตำแหน่งพระอาทิตย์ที่คำนวณจากประมาณการวันปฏิสนธิสำหรับวิธีโหราศาสตร์ไทยใช้การคำนวณตำแหน่งดาว 10 พระเดินใน 12 ราศีรอบโลกและลัคนาจากข้อมูลวันเวลาและสถานที่เกิดของบุคคลเพื่อให้การคำนวณตำแหน่งดาวทำได้รวดเร็วถูกต้องจึงได้พัฒนาเป็นโปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปขึ้นแล้วนำมาทดสอบการใช้งานกับนักศึกษาคณะการแพทย์แผนตะวันออกจำนวน 113 คนในภาคการศึกษาที่1ปีการศึกษา 2553 พบว่า 90.27% ของกลุ่มตัวอย่างแสดงความพึงพอใจต่อการใช้งานโปรแกรมโดยรวมในระดับ "มาก" และ "มากที่สุด"

การจำแนกสถิติของผู้ป่วยเบาหวานโรงพยาบาลปทุมธานีจำนวน 3,283 คน ด้วยการคำนวณตามวิธีการแพทย์แผนไทยพบว่าธาตุกำเนิดมีธาตุน้ำเป็นอันดับหนึ่ง 34.48% ธาตุไฟ 24.08% ธาตุลม 22.35% และธาตุดิน 19.10% ฤดูสมุฏฐาน ๓ มีสัดส่วนมาก 3 อันดับแรกคือฤดูที่ 2.3 ที่ 18.23% ฤดูที่ 2.2 ที่ 15.20% และฤดูที่ 1.1 ที่ 11.54% ตามลำดับฤดูสมุฏฐาน ๖ มีสัดส่วนมาก 3 อันดับแรกคือฤดูที่ 4.2 ที่ 14.24% ฤดูที่ 4.1 ที่ 10.77% และฤดูที่ 3.1 ที่ 7.43% ตามลำดับและตำแหน่งพระอาทิตย์มีสัดส่วนมาก 3 อันดับแรกคือราศี ๖ ตุลย์ที่ 18.51% ราศี ๗ พิจิกรที่ 10.49% และราศี ๔ สิงห์ที่ 9.47% ตามลำดับส่วนการคำนวณโดยวิธีโหราศาสตร์ไทยตำแหน่งพระอาทิตย์ของผู้ป่วยเบาหวานโดยรวมพระอาทิตย์สถิตย์ในราศีเมถุน(ธาตุลม)23.6% พิจิก(ธาตุน้ำ) 9.9% และธนู(ธาตุไฟ) 8.2%

การจำแนกสถิติผู้ป่วยเบาหวานโรงพยาบาลบ้านนาจำนวน639คนโดยการคำนวณวิธีโหราศาสตร์ไทยพบว่าตำแหน่งพระอาทิตย์สถิตย์ผู้ป่วยเบาหวานอยู่ในราศีมากที่สุด4อันดับได้แก่ธนู(ธาตุไฟ) 11.27% เมถุน(ธาตุลม) 10.95% มังกร(ธาตุดิน)9.39% และกรกฏ(ธาตุน้ำ) 9.39% การทดสอบทางสถิติปฏิเสธว่าสัดส่วนผู้ป่วยเบาหวานจำแนกตามตำแหน่งพระอาทิตย์เป็นการกระจายแบบสม่ำเสมอลัคนาสัดส่วนผู้ป่วยในราศีมากที่สุด 4 อันดับได้แก่พิจิกร 11.58% สิงห์ 11.11% กรกฏ 9.55% และธนู 9.55% แต่เมื่อทำการทดสอบความสอดคล้องต้องกัน ( Goodness-of-fittest = .05, df=11 )กับเกณฑ์อันโตนาทีแล้วพบว่าสัดส่วนผู้ป่วยเบาหวานแต่ละราศีไม่แตกต่างกันสัดส่วนผู้ป่วยเบาหวานมากกว่าค่าเฉลี่ย( 1/12 = 8.33% )คือพระอาทิตย์ห่างเป็น 6 และ 12 จากลัคนาพระจันทร์ห่างเป็น 9 อังคารเป็น 10 พฤหัสเป็น 10 ราหูเป็น 1 (กุม/ทับลัคนา)มฤตยูเป็น 10 และ11 แก่ลัคนา

The study aimed to investigate the body types, season of the years and position of the Sun derived from estimated fertilized date used in Thai traditional medicine health prediction, the planet position in zodiac sign, and ascendant in a function of date, time and place of birth according to Thai astrological wisdom. In order to gain accuracy and speed in planets positions calculation, the software package was developed for Oriental Medicine students to use. The software was implemented with the 113 subjects in the first semester of the academic year 2010. The result showed that 90.27% of the students perceived the developed software at the satisfaction level of "very satisfied" and "satisfied".

Using Thai traditional medicine technique with 3,283 diabetics from Pathumthani Hospital, the results showed that body types were 34.48% Water, 24.08% Fire, 22.35% Wind, and 19.10% Earth. The first three highest percentage in 3 seasons/year classification were season 2.3, season 2.2, and season 1.1 at 18.23%, 15.20% and 11.54% respectively, for 6 seasons/year classification; season 4.2, season 4.1, and season 3.1 were 14.24%, 10.77% and 7.43% respectively, and for the position of the Sun in zodiac signswere Libra, Scorpio and Leo at 18.51%, 10.49%, and 9.47% respectively. By applying Thai astrology calculation to the 639 diabetics of Banna Hospital, the first four signs of their Sun positionwere in Sagittarius (Fire) 11.27%, Gemini (Wind) 10.95%, Capricorn (Earth) 9.39%, and Cancer (Water) 9.39%. The Chi-square goodness-of-fit test ( = .05, df =11) showed that their distribution was and Sagittarius (Fire) 8.22%.not in a uniform distribution. Their ascendants were in Scorpio 11.58%, Leo 11.11%, Cancer 9.55%, and Sagittarius 9.55%. The Chi-square of the test suggested that the distribution of the ascendants of the sample group corresponded to the fraction of time in a day for each sign. The roportion of patients was more than the average of 8.33% with The Sun: 6 signs and 12 signs, The Moon: 9 signs, Mars: 10 signs, Rahu: on top of ascendant and Uranus: 10 signs and 11 signs.
