เน้นการเก็บรวบรวมและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทั้งเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพเพื่อขยายขอบเขตความกว้างและความลึกของผลการ
วิจัยโดยได้เสนอการออกแบบใน 4 รูปแบบได้แก่ 1) รูปแบบความสอดคล้องคู่ขนาน 2) รูปแบบการอธิบายตามลำดับ 3) รูป
แบบการสำรวจตามลำดับและ 4) รูปแบบการศึกษาเชิงซ้อนโดยการออกแบบการวิจัยปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียนด้วยการออกแบบ
แบบผสานวิธีนี้ทำให้ผลการวิจัยสามารถอธิบายความเชื่อมโยงสัมพันธ์กันระหว่างข้อมูลทั้งสองประเภทที่อาจสอดคล้องไปใน
ทิศทางเดียวกันในลักษณะของการเสริมกันหรืออาจขัดแย้งกันทำให้ข้อค้นพบของผู้สอนมีความชัดเจนสามารถอธิบายความ
เป็นเหตุเป็นผลของการพัฒนาการจัดการเรียนการสอนด้วยการวิจัยปฏิบัติการในชั้นเรียนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและสามารถ
สะท้อนผลการนำไปใช้สู่การขยายผลเผยแพร่สู่การอ้างอิงต่อไปได้

     This article focuses on the application of mixed methods research design for classroom action research. The mixed methods research design focus on the collection and the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to expand the breadth and depth of research results. The proposed designs in four types are; 1) convergent parallel design, 2) explanatory sequential design, 3) exploratory sequential design, and 4) embedded design. The finding of classroom action research applying mixed methods design can explain the relation between two types of information that may be aligned in the same direction, complementary or contradictory. It makes clear that this kind of research can explain the rationality of the development of teaching and learning with classroom action research effectively and reflect the application and expand the findings to refer later.
