การออกแบบและพัฒนาการสอนเป็นกระบวนการนำหลักการเรียนรู้และการสอนมาใช้ในการวางแผนเพื่อจัดการเรียน
การสอนอย่างเป็นระบบ มีระเบียบแบบแผน นอกจากจะส่งผลให้ผู้สอนมีการวางแผนอย่างเป็นขั้นตอนแล้ว ยังส่งผลให้ผู้เรียนเกิด
การเรียนรู้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพด้วย การออกแบบการเรียนการสอนที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ ผู้สอนจำเป็นต้องออกแบบการ
สอน การจัดกิจกรรม เทคนิคการสอนต่างๆ ที่มุ่งพัฒนาผู้เรียนและมุ่งให้ผู้เรียนเกิดการพัฒนาตนเองได้อย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ
ดังนั้นผู้สอนต้องเข้าใจลักษณะวิชาและเข้าใจผู้เรียนให้รอบด้าน เพื่อที่จะออกแบบการสอนในรายวิชานั้นๆ ให้เหมาะสมกับ
ความสามารถในการรับรู้ของผู้เรียนแต่ละกลุ่ม ทั้งนี้ในการออกแบบและพัฒนารายวิชาที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญนอกจากจะต้อง
คำนึงถึงกลุ่มผู้เรียนแล้ว ยังต้องคำนึงถึงลักษณะของรายวิชาด้วย เช่น รายวิชาที่เป็นภาษาก็จำเป็นต้องเน้นกิจกรรมที่ให้ผู้
เรียนฝึกทักษะการฟัง พูด อ่าน และเขียนเป็นหลัก รายวิชาด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ก็จำเป็นต้องเน้นกิจกรรมที่เน้นให้ผู้เรียนฝึก
การสังเกต ทดลองเป็นต้น การออกแบบและพัฒนาการสอนจึงเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญอย่างหนึ่งสำหรับผู้สอนที่จะสามารถบรรลุ
วัตถุประสงค์ในการสอนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ในส่วนนี้ขอกล่าวถึงการออกแบบและพัฒนารายวิชาการอ่านภาษาจีนในระดับ
อุดมศึกษาที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ

Designing and developing a teaching model is a process that a teacher applies learning and instructional
theoretical foundations to planning. Not only the process helps the teacher to plan teaching systematically,
but also student effectiveness of learning can be improved. To reach this goal by creating a student–centered
classroom, a teacher must thoughtfully design instructional activities through planning and the use of progressive
steps. He/She needs to really get into the characteristics of the course and get a well-rounded understanding
of his/her students. This will help the teacher in planning suitable activities that enhance learning ability.

In addition to the focus on learners, a teacher must understand the characteristics of his/her
own course. While a language teacher should focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities, a
science teacher should concern him/herself with activities related to observations and experiments, etc.
Thus, designing and developing a teaching model is an important strategy for a teacher to reach effectively
instructional goals. This article will deal with designing and developing an undergraduate student–centered
teaching model in Chinese Reading.
